Top Employer Europe 2025: at Clariane, we make a difference!

Clariane Group

Clariane receives the Top Employer Europe status for the second year running

We are proud to receive Top Employer Europe certification for the second year running. This distinction, awarded by the Top Employers Institute, recognises Clariane’s commitment to offering its employees optimal working conditions, while promoting their career development. This certification confirms the Group’s position as a benchmark employer in all six countries where it operates: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium.

International recognition for innovative HR practices

This distinction is awarded following audits carried out by the Top Employers Institute, an independent international body that certifies the excellence of HR practices in terms of working conditions. The audit covers 350 HR practices in 20 areas, including talent management strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, training and skills development, well-being at work, and diversity and inclusion. A minimum score of 60% is required to be eligible for Top Employer certification.

This year, our six countries have been certified:

An employer promise based on the principle of symmetry of attention

At Clariane, our staff have a key role to play in making a difference. We believe that supporting and caring for others also means taking care of our staff and supporting them so that they can:

  • make a difference in their day-to-day work;
  • make a difference in their career paths;
  • make a difference to those around them.

In the same way that our 60,000 staff members are committed to each of their patients and residents on a daily basis, Clariane invests alongside them to make their job easier.

Creating the conditions for everyone to flourish at work, grow in their profession and build their own personalised career path is at the heart of our HR policy. That’s why we offer new opportunities to those who want to take their careers in a new direction.

Through apprenticeships and work-study schemes, validation of prior learning, in-house training and career retraining programmes, we are able to increase the proportion of staff recruited and promoted internally.

With the Clariane University, which brings together all the training courses on offer, the Group is giving itself the means to make lifelong learning a reality, and is paving the way for careers as state-certified nursing assistants, nurses, activity leaders, catering managers, chefs and even facility managers.

En 2023
40,542 employees participated in at least one training course during the year
804,792 hours of training were provided across the Group
