Foundations

Ipsos survey for the pour la Fondation Clariane about The attractiveness of health and care professions for young Europeans, among 2,100 young people aged 16 to 20 in 7 countries from 16 October to 13 November 2023.

The Clariane Foundation has conducted a study with Ipsos on the attractiveness of the health and care professions to young Europeans. The sector ranks as the 3rd most attractive to young Europeans, behind luxury goods and education and ahead of humanitarian aid, agriculture, telecoms and the internet. This trend is characteristic of a generation in search of meaning when it comes to making choices for their future. For example, 84% of young Europeans say that these are “useful jobs that bring a lot to others and to society” and 77% say that “being a carer is a job to be proud of”. Results that are as clear as they are encouraging for a sector that is currently suffering from a shortage of care staff. Click here for the full study.
