International Women’s Day: at Clariane, gender equality is a daily commitment

Clariane Group

Over 80% of our workforce is made up of women, and beyond these figures, it is their dedicated journeys and talents that shape our Group every day. On this International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to equality in every country where we operate.

As a purpose-driven company and the leading European community in care, healthcare, and hospitality in times of vulnerability, we know that taking care of our residents and patients starts with taking care of our employees. This means providing them with a fair and inclusive work environment, where everyone has the chance to grow.

Supporting equality: our key partnerships for Womens Rights

Clariane brings its commitment to life by signing agreements and partnering with external organizations to actively advocate for women’s rights.

  • 2018: Clariane signs the charter against violence against women, initiated by the OneInThreeWomen network, reinforcing its role in combating gender-based and sexual violence.
  • 2020: Clariane joins the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), promoted by UN Women.
  • 2023: Clariane becomes a member of the #StOpE initiative, launched by AFMD (Association Française des Managers de la Diversité) to fight against everyday sexism in the workplace.

Our partnership with La Maison des Femmes de Saint-Denis, supported by the Clariane Foundation, illustrates our concrete commitment to fighting gender-based violence. Women’s rights fundamentally include the right to access healthcare. In this spirit, the Clariane Foundation also actively supports Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes, an organization that provides gynecological and cardiovascular screening for vulnerable women in France.

Equality for all: not just a commitment, but a reality through concrete actions

At Clariane, equality is a core value, and we are committed to taking concrete, measurable actions to support the women in our Group. Since the launch of the Clariane Women’s Club in 2019, we have implemented initiatives that promote inclusion, diversity, and the recognition of female talent at all levels. This network of female leaders is dedicated to empowering women and enhancing their leadership capabilities.

Since 2022, thematic working groups have been set up to explore key topics such as work-life balance, breaking gender stereotypes, and advancing women in leadership roles. These initiatives complement the ongoing efforts of our HR and operational teams, which include:

  • E-learning programs to raise awareness about gender-based violence and sexism;
  • Communication campaigns designed to challenge and deconstruct gender stereotypes;
  • Participation in the Orange the World campaign, a global initiative to end violence against women;
  • Mentoring programs in France, Italy, and Belgium to help female employees unlock their full potential.

On March 7, 2025, we also launched a 100-day program to support female talent across the Group, helping them build self-confidence, take risks, and strengthen their influence.

Our efforts are making a real impact: today, 53% of leadership positions at Clariane are held by women—clear proof of our commitment to ensuring balanced representation at every level of the company.

At Clariane, we firmly believe that diversity is a strength. We are convinced that differences—whether in age, gender, background, or disability—enrich our work environment. As a purpose-driven company, we have a responsibility to ensure fairness and provide every employee with equal opportunities for growth.
